First sermon at Hagia Sophia Mosque
The Muslim sermon at the reopening of Hagia Sophia Mosque was partly performed by President Erdogan himself, citing verses from the Quran. Holding a sword in his hand, Turkey's Minister of Religion highlighted the “Right of Sword” during his part of the sermon.

Turkey reverts Hagia Sophia back to mosque
Hagia Sophia is back to being a mosque to lift restrictions on religious freedoms and allow prayers, set to start on July 24th. All historic features of the structure will continue to be preserved and protected. The building will remain open to visitors and tourists, just like the Blue Mosque.

Hagia Sophia's transformation
